About Bennett Quillen
With more than 30 years of experience in the technology, operations, and risk management spheres, Bennett Quillen has served as an Associate Consultant with Cornerstone Advisors, Inc., since 2005. In this role, Mr. Quillen maintains an array of project-planning responsibilities for regional banks, facilitating operations improvement and third-party conversion assignments. Bennett Quillen also performs compliance and risk management functions, adhering closely with the requirements of the Sarbanes–Oxley Act and Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act.
Before beginning his career in the finance industry, Bennett Quillen earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois. He subsequently completed a Master of Business Administration in Industrial Management and Finance at the University of Southern California. Following graduation, he accepted a position as an Assistant Vice President for Security Pacific National Bank, performing quantitative analysis and developing advanced financial information systems.
From 1975 to 1980, Bennett Quillen acted as a Managing Associate with Lester B. Knight & Associates in Chicago. He provided overseas insurance companies and financial institutions with focused advice on strategic planning, operations, and information technology. Mr. Quillen next held the position of Chief Administration Officer for Community Federal, a savings and loan association encompassing 50 branches and more than 200 employees. Over a three-year period, he implemented information systems and back-office operations solutions that fulfilled key marketing and administration needs.
Since the early 1990s, Bennett Quillen has undertaken consulting assignments with commercial banks, brokerage companies, and insurance firms. He worked with Bank of Boston from 1998 to 1999 as a Management Consultant, and functioned as a Project Manager with Royal SunAlliance from 2004 to 2005, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for the American division of the international property and casualty insurance firm.
